The lion is supposed to protect the tree and not eat from it. He did not know what the was so special about the tree. Was the tree, filled with super powers? Was it blessed? Was it scary and full of evil? The Lion has to do it's best to protect if from other creatures. After several day or a week the lion got curious and wanted to see the tree and decides to take caution on approaching it. He take three sacred moves and backs away. That is why when you see Lion Dancing, the Liondancers moves 3 times towards the Chang or object it wants to eat and backs away.
